Yellow Fever Vaccine

The yellow fever vaccine is used to prevent yellow fever virus. Infected mosquitos spread the virus from person to person. It is a live, weakened form of the virus given as a single dose. It is recommended for anyone who is living in or traveling to areas where yellow fever is common. Employee may require vaccination to enter certain countries. When employees attend their Travel Medicine Consult, a health professional will determine if the yellow fever vaccine is necessary based on their itinerary.
